Today substance abuse is a big menace which preys on adolescents. Since Vidiyal works with children belonging to vulnerable communities we always take sincere efforts in educating children about the ill effects of substance abuse and equip them with knowledge and skill to ‘say not to drugs’. In this context a workshop on “Protection from Substance Abuse” was organized for our children belonging to senior age group on 17th June 2024. Dr.C.Jim Jesudoss, Founder and Executive Director anchored the workshop and Dr.G.Sharmila Jim facilitated one session. Children took an oath to maintain ‘abstinence’ and to get rid of tobacco products. Ms.S.Sophia and Ms.G.Abi Sakthi were the support volunteers. There was children’s panel which was much appreciated by the children.
