On 30th June 2024 the Election of Vidiyal Child Rights Movement was held. Six children contested for the posts of President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Movement. The general body members of VCRM enthusiastically participated and voted in the election. A swear in ceremony was organized after the election. Through this exercise children learn about ‘Democracy and Representation’ at a very early age and show active involvement in the democratically constituted platform called Vidiyal Child Rights Movement. Apart from this there were elections for various children’s forums ( Base groups), Skill Development groups and service teams. Leadership potential in children is very much nurtured and they are encouraged to exercise their ‘Right to be heard’.
