Sakthi–Vidiyal celebrated its 31st anniversary with joy and enthusiasm, marking a significant milestone. Dr. C. Jim Jesudoss, Founder and Executive Director, introduced the theme, “Towards a Society that Listens to Children’s Voices,” encouraging everyone to work toward this mission. The event began with the Vidiyal Child Rights Movement Song, followed by a welcome address by Ms. M. Umadevi, President of the Movement.

The Child Rights Education through the Snakes and Ladders Game was released in Bengali, the eighth language in the series. The Jenifer Memorial Award was presented to Ms. C. Glory Deborah for her work rescuing and rehabilitating women with mental health issues and children affected by HIV/AIDS. Six dedicated volunteers received certificates of merit for completing a yearlong internship, awarded by Dr. S. Aasha, Secretary of Sakthi–Vidiyal.

The Dr. G. Gilbert Rajkumar Memorial Award recognized the Vidiyal Children’s Theatre Troupe for their impactful child rights plays.

Prizes were distributed by Mr. K. Thangapandi and Mr. S. Bharath Kumar, members of the governing board, along with members from Olirum Muhangal.

The celebration included vibrant dances and a theatre performance, “Bothai Maranathin Pathai” (Addiction is the Path to Death), showcasing children’s talent and creativity.

The event highlighted Sakthi–Vidiyal’s dedication to empowering children and building a society that values their voices.
