Building Anew Camp – Rise for Equity
Venue: Pannaikadu
Dates: 25th to 29th April 2025

The five-day “Building Anew – Rise for Equity” camp brought together 50 vibrant participants from Grades 8 to 12 across Vidiyal’s Child Education Centres. Designed to challenge the notion of caste and affirm equity, the camp invited young minds to reflect deeply on their beliefs, thoughts, and behaviours — empowering them to become agents of change in their own lives, families, schools, and communities.

Through a blend of concept sessions and experiential activities, participants were encouraged:
-to recognize their uniqueness,
-to rise beyond boundaries, barriers, and limitations,
-to recognize and embrace new possibilities,
-to understand that “not yet” means a continuing journey of growth, discovery, and learning,
-and to live a life ablaze with integrity.

The active and thoughtful participation of every child was a powerful testament to the strength of their convictions and their readiness to work together for a just and equitable world. Their energy and clarity of purpose have inspired us at Vidiyal and given us a renewed path forward.
