VIDIYAL CHILD RIGHTS MOVEMENT – ELECTION 2025

by / No Comments / 21 View / July 5, 2025

On 29th June 2025, the Election of the Vidiyal Child Rights Movement was conducted with great enthusiasm and democratic spirit. This year, Mr. Gopinath and Mr. Jagatheeswaran were elected unopposed to the posts of President and Treasurer respectively, reflecting the trust and confidence placed in them by the general body members.

For the post of Secretary, a healthy and vibrant contest took place between Ms. Harshini and Ms. Darshini. After a fair and spirited election process, Ms. Darshini emerged victorious and took charge as the new Secretary of the Movement.

A swearing-in ceremony was held following the election, where the newly elected representatives pledged to uphold the values and responsibilities of their roles. The entire process once again highlighted the importance of Democracy and Representation within the Vidiyal Child Rights Movement, giving children real-time experience in democratic participation and leadership.

In addition to the central leadership posts, elections were also held for various Children’s Forums (Base Groups), Skill Development Groups, and Service Teams. Through this vibrant and democratic platform, children are empowered to lead, speak up, and actively contribute to shaping their own spaces — truly exercising their Right to be Heard.
