Ripple Circle at Vidiyal: Understanding Geopolitics and the Impact of Wars on Children

by / No Comments / 1 View / August 25, 2025

On Sunday, 17th August 2025, Vidiyal hosted the Ripple Circle at our Training Centre with the theme “Understanding Geopolitics and the Impact of Wars on Children.” The session was facilitated by Mr. Anbu -Project Coordinator and Ms. Subashini (Co-facilitator).

The ripple circle began with an engaging introduction to geopolitics, helping children understand how international relations and power dynamics shape the world. This was followed by tracing the history of wars and exploring their devastating impact on children across generations.

The facilitators then highlighted the efforts of the United Nations, governments, and civil society organizations in protecting and upholding the rights of children affected by conflicts. Participants were also sensitized to the current wars unfolding across the globe today, deepening their awareness of the realities faced by children in conflict zones.

The session concluded with a powerful reflection: encouraging children to dream and envision a world free of wars, nurturing hope, empathy, and responsibility to work towards peace.

The Ripple Circle continues to serve as a vibrant platform at Vidiyal where children learn, question, and reimagine a just and peaceful world.
