First-Year Volunteer Training Series Begins

by / No Comments / 4 View / September 8, 2025

On 6th September 2025, Vidiyal’s first-year volunteers kicked off the first of 22 trainings with a full-day session on Child Psychology. The focus was on Developmental Psychology, drawing from Erik Erikson’s psychosocial theory, and exploring its relevance to children’s growth and experiences.

The methodology emphasized deep self-analysis and connecting personal realities with the realities of children, enabling volunteers to better understand and support them.

The session was facilitated by Dr. C. Jim Jesudoss, Founder and Executive Director of Vidiyal, who guided the volunteers through critical reflections and discussions. This marked the beginning of a transformative training journey, equipping volunteers with knowledge, insight, and sensitivity to work with children effectively.
