Vidiyal partners with underprivileged communities and empower children to realize their potential through realizing their rights. As part of strengthening families living in urban slums in Madurai we run a Tailoring Unit for women and girls and offer a six months course in tailoring. This project equips women and girls with a skill in tailoring and enables them to earn out a living. It helps families to come out of the vicious cycle of poverty and encourage them to send their wards to school regularly. Matching grants were provided to own a sewing machine was much appreciated by the students.
