On 18th May 2024 a training for Young Facilitators was organized at Vidiyal. Children who have the potential in ‘Facilitation Skills’ were imparted knowledge and skills in ‘Facilitation’. Singing, Welcome, Context setting and Expectations were anchored by Dr.C.Jim Jesudoss. Ms.M.Jeyashri organized the Icebreaking activity. It was followed by a session on ‘Defining Facilitation Skills and how it is different from teaching’ facilitated by Mr.D.Arockiam. The ‘Fundamentals of Effective Facilitation’ was brought by Dr.C.Jim Jesudoss. An energiser was conducted by Mr.A.Hari Prasad which the children enjoyed. Mr.S.Anil anchored a session on ‘ Characteristics of a good facilitator and Types of facilitators’ which was followed by a session facilitated by Dr.G.Sharmila Jim on ‘Roles and Responsibilities of a good facilitator’. These children will practice their skills and learnings throughout the year in their respective Child Forums and the Vidiyal Child Rights Movement.
