Career Guidance Program – Goal Setting and Pathways to Success Date: May 31, 2025 Venue: Vidiyal Training Centre The half-day Career Guidance Program held on May 31, 2025, brought together children from Grades 9 to 12—an important age group for making informed choices about their future.
The session focused on setting clear goals and understanding the realistic steps required to reach them. Mr. Jesley Priyadharshan led the session with deep insights into career planning. Each child was encouraged to chart their own career path by aligning their interests, aspirations, and skills.
The session was interactive and reflective, helping children identify what they truly wanted to pursue and how to get there.
To motivate the children further, they were introduced to the inspiring story of Auto Annadurai of Chennai—an ordinary man who gained national recognition by offering extraordinary service through his profession. His journey showed the children that dignity, passion, and excellence can be achieved in any career, provided one brings commitment and creativity to it.
The session concluded with Dr. C. Jim Jesudoss speaking about the Vidiyal Education Policy, emphasizing that education at Vidiyal is not just about academic marks. It also values a child’s participation, involvement, and learning through Vidiyal’s programs, workshops, and activities. This holistic approach ensures that every child develops as a confident, responsible, and informed individual.
