One-Day Training-Skills for Development Workers Working with Adolescent Children

A full-day training session was organized for staff and volunteers focusing on enhancing the skillset required for those working closely with adolescent children. Anchored by Dr. Sujatha Rita, the session was highly interactive and reflective in nature. Volunteers engaged in thought-provoking activities that explored key aspects of building and sustaining meaningful relationships with adolescents.

Through skits and discussions, they examined concepts such as: Demonstrating sincerity Staying emotionally balanced Striving for objectivity Modeling a positive attitude The training also covered the duties, skills, and qualities of a youth worker, offering practical tools and insight into the profession.
A crucial section of the training was dedicated to understanding the stages of adolescent development, helping participants align their work with the evolving needs of young people. It was a day of deep reflection, practical learning, and renewed commitment to youth development.
